Group One- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.



Group 1- Myles C, Zachary M, Isabella F, Maxwell I, Lauren K
1. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is from Atlanta, Georgia, and was born on January 15th, 1929.
2. When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was alive, African American children were not allowed to attend the same   school as white children.
3. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. thought this was unfair and led a peace march in Washington D.C. with the rest of his supporters.
4. He led the march from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial during his march.
5. On April 28th, 1963; Dr. martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous I have a dream speech.
6. In his speech he says, "Free at last." What does he mean when he says we are "free at last."
- We think this means that black and white people can drink from the same water fountain. That white and black people can go to the same school.
7. If we had a dream for the world it would be....
- that people would not be poor.
